Project Description
In response to shifts in urban mobility, Zurich collaborated with Chazz Design Studio (NTT Data) to launch doppo by Zurich—an innovative, fully digital auto insurance platform. Piloted in Spain, doppo aims to offer user-centric solutions, from customizable policies to digital claims management, with an intuitive, online experience.

Chazz Design Studio played a key role in building the doppo brand, reflecting Zurich's values across app design, website, illustrations, and stationery. This collaboration highlights Zurich's commitment to accessible, tech-forward insurance options.

Outcomes
Project Overview
The project consisted of two main deliverables:

1. Deliverable One: Crafting the Value Proposition

Market research revealed a gap between basic third-party and full-risk coverage options, leading to the creation of the customizable insurance concept “Create Your Own Full Risk.”

2. Deliverable Two:

Brand and Digital Design

We built the brand from the ground up, focusing on service rather than just a logo. This included creating key elements like the logotype, brand identity guide, and stationery, all adhering to principles of mobile-first functionality, clear language, and user empowerment.

· The Name: The name “doppo,” derived from the Italian word "dopo" (after), reflects how the value of insurance services becomes apparent only after an event occurs.

· The Brand: We designed visual elements emphasizing customer empowerment and modern aesthetics. A key feature is a visual representation of a car that allows users to adjust coverage based on their vehicle's value and risk preferences. This design created a cohesive digital identity for the brand and is scalable for future insurance products like home or life insurance.

I conducted UX/UI research and established core design principles while also creating illustrations and serving as art director for promotional videos. I supported the brand team in developing the brand book and stationery, ensuring consistency and adherence to brand values.

Digital Design
I collaborated on the app design, focusing on wireframes, user flows, and visual elements. Users can customize their insurance based on their car's value, select coverage levels, make online payments, and receive all documents digitally. They can access their insurance details anytime through their private Doppo area.
· Embrace Diverse Perspectives: Stay open-minded and learn from different processes, even if you disagree. You can always find ways to improve.
· Navigating Team Dynamics: Leading a team can be delicate because of people's egos and fears about their contributions. Be patient and listen to your team to understand their goals and help them achieve the best solutions.
· Expect the Unexpected: You never know when something unexpected will happen, so stay calm and think innovatively.
· Seek Expertise Diligently:When you’re unsure about something, find the right person to help you. Do your research, think critically, and don't settle for the first answer.
· The Power of Saying No: Learn to say no. Always explain your reasons and try to offer an alternative solution.
· Perfection vs. Context: Being a perfectionist is good, but professionalism means doing what’s right for the situation.
· The Importance of Communication: At the start of a project, continuous communication is key. Align goals and roles, and foster collaboration as the team develops the visual concept. Remember, communication is two-way; listen to everyone on the team to understand what they truly want to achieve.
