BBVA 2012

Project Management
Project Description
This project was to create the design of the public and private website of BBVA 2012 in a project for seven months.
Roles
· Coordinating a design team of 10 designers.
· Managing the deliverables and creating a communication tool between the design and development team.
· Visual Designer
Outcomes
This is one of the projects to be highlighted in my professional career.  It was a banking project whose milestone was to create BBVA's design system and develop the website in 7 months.

My initial role was as a Visual Designer, thus, due to some dramatically change in the project's scope, the visual team increased from 3 to 12 designers in order to deliver the visual assets to 250 developers. This situation prompted me to take the control to manage the work of the design team, to create methodology to design the design system (nomenclatures, components, modules, templates...), organize the delivery process with an agile methodology, and develop a communication tool to control the assets visuals, and develop a communication process with the client and the 250 developers.

This project has always marked me, because thanks to all this experience I understood the importance of the processes, the methodology and the importance of communication between the team and the context that surrounds them.
Learnings
· Managing a design team sometimes is very difficult due to the different personalities of each member of the group, always I had the impression that I have to look for the balance within the team.

· Coordinating a bunch of designers requires order and communication skills, and this helps to inform what they have to do in each sprint of the projects.

· I discovered new skills related to organizations and management that I didn’t know I had.
